Comparative Study of Fire-Gilded and Electroplated Gold Films on Copper Substrates

چکیده
We compared the structural and optical properties of gold films deposited on copper substrates by traditional fire-gilding method electroplating which are being adopted craftsmen in Kathmandu valley, Nepal. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) reflectance spectroscopy were employed to characterize surface morphology samples, respectively. In AFM images films, we observed that surfaces fire-gilded not only smoother but also have higher than electroplated films. corrosion experiment chemical etching samples showed superior resistance
